This post should be done some hours ago. Since I hooked-up again watching movie on television, it took me again too long to finish this post. Sorry for that. Hey, March is ending soon! Hello April, I am excited that you are coming in some minutes, Central European Time. I have so many things to share especially about my travels and adventures but it seems that my time is always limited. Or I would say, so many things are keeping me busy these days.
the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, Italy. Taken last March 22, 2014.
Let’s go back to Assisi now. After visiting the capital of Umbria which is Perugia, our next destination was Assisi. Not much time seeing all the sights in this town but I am happy to experienced the the birthplace of St. Francis. He was the founder the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare (Chiara d’Offreducci), the founder of the Poor Sisters, which later became the Order of Poor Clares after her death. It is good to know that the weather is getting more friendlier this month. This is the sign spring is coming soon. I am so glad that another adventure is about to come again. I need to slowly pack my luggage this week so I don’t get stress when doing the last minute packing. I am done with one luggage already but that luggage will have another destination. I still have another travel in Europe to come this month. (more…)

It’s been four years now since I last visited this German festival called as Volkfest in Neumarkt Oberpflaz. This word is literally known as “People’s Fair or Festival”. This is one thing I really love in Germany. The world’s most famous Oktoberbest in Munich is also a form of a Volksfest. It can be a beer festival or a wine festival in certain town or region in Germany.

Travelling needs a lot of planning. This is especially true if you plan to visit many places and countries as well. This is also the reason why I have been busy planning for our travel itinerary to Asia since the last three months. Planning for your trip earlier is also necessary if you want to save money in searching and booking for cheap flights and accommodations. Proper planning will surely save you time and money.
I am very happy because last month, I finally booked my plane ticket to the Philippines. This is actually our main destination and from there, I am also planning to visit other countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. We will also be visiting some islands in the Philippines.

Each traveler has a purpose why he or she goes traveling. It might be for recreation purposes, tourism, relaxation, holiday to visit family or friends, to volunteer for charity, business travel, religious pilgrimage trip and other purposes that will benefit a traveler.

Planning for a holiday is not an easy task. This is true especially if you want to visit a lot of places in one vacation. There are a lot of things to consider from finding cheap flights, affordable accommodations, land transportation, transfers, finding a good restaurants that offer local cuisines, things to do and the sights to see and experience in a place you want to visit. This is the reason why planning a vacation ahead of time is very indispensable. You will not only save time and money but you can also avoid stress when doing it.
Finding Cheap Flights
I was already browsing online since October 2013 trying to find cheap flights to the Philippines. I also contacted some local travel agencies offering flights there. It took me over three months before booking it. I also consider the allowed luggage for check-in and hand carry. There are airlines who only allows 23 kilos to the Philippines. It depends on the airline you will be booking. I am glad that I am allowed up to 40 kilos for my check-in luggage. This is really perfect. The train going to the airport is also included but I guess, due to my luggage and the duration of the travel, I won’t be taking the train instead. I prefer going to the airport with personal car. I am glad that I already booked my plane ticket to the Philippines. (more…)

Last week, I received a new travel catalog featuring many travels to some parts of the globe. Included in it a holiday package to Rome, Italy including Vatican City. It’s been so long time since I last visited Rome and Vatican City. It was quite a memorable trip but some days visit are not just enough to experience everything. I am planning to visit it again someday and I hope very soon.
View of St. Peter’s Square from atop St. Peter’s Basilica. Known in Italina as Piazza San Pietro, it is a massive plaza located directly in front of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. You can find At the centre of the square a four-thousand-year-old Egyptian obelisk, erected at the current site in 1568.
I was quite scared when I and my friend climbed to the top of St. Peter’s Basilica. I am thankful that I conquered my fear of closed space or Claustrophobia. I am not afraid if heights but for some reasons, I am not happy with closed small space. This was taken during our visit summer 2010. (more…)
