It was a good decision going to Dublin the first day I arrived in Ireland’s capital. If I did not do that, I might ended up bringing home nothing in terms of souvenirs. It was a rainy afternoon and perfect timing because we found this shop that sells any kind of souvenirs from Dublin and I guess from other places in Ireland too. One thing I did not see in that store was a cigar humidor. But when you talk about travel souvenirs like shirts, mugs, bags, fridge magnets, postcards, shotglasses, keychains and some other more, this store has a variety to choose from.
I was happy with all the travel souvenirs I brought home from that 7-day trip in Ireland. I miss that beautiful country!

I can’t forget the name of this city. In the first place, I have an aunt whose family name is Avila. Second, I had a great time with new friends during our visit in this city. That was truly a memorable and lovely day we had in Avila last March 2012. I and my friends truly had an enjoyable trip there. It was so far one of the wonderful sidetrips I made during my three weeks stay in Madrid.
The sky was blue that day and not so cloudy. It was still winter in Europe during our visit. Despite the sunny blue sky, the wind was blowing so cold which really made me a bit frozen. I ended up buying another sweater in Avila. I did not expected that it will be cold that day during our visit because Madrid was not really so cold compared to this city.
We had a walk around the walled city during our visit. We even climbed its walls and had a wonderful view around. Avila is famous for its Cathedral and many churches.

Avila is sometimes called the City of Stones and Saints, and it claims that it is one of the cities with the highest number of Romanesque and Gothic churches (and bars and restaurants) per capita in Spain. It is notable for having complete and prominent medieval city walls, built in the Romanesque style. (more…)

I am missing Ireland! I guess I left a part of my heart in that country. The freezing weather in our place now truly makes me miss Ireland. Another reason is, I love the scenery and the landscape in that country especially the ones I saw along the lakes and seas.
Anyway, back to main topic. We had a night-out during our third night in Ireland. Our bus driver named Matuz (not really sure of the correct spelling of his name) took us to the pubs in Doolin. There should be a live music at the pub where he brought us but sad to say, it did not happened. I would love to ask if the musicians use pioneer ddj sx as a gadget when they play live music.

That was quite a long trip from Regensburg, Germany to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. I was with a group of mostly retired during that bus trip to three European countries including Lichtenstein, some places in Italy and Switzerland. Traveling with the bus in a group especially from Germany are cheap if you find the right travel company to book it.

I have to wake-up so early last Thursday to catch up the bus in Regensburg. I have to drive around 35 minutes before I will reach the city. There is a free parking lot where I parked my car for 5 days. I arrived 10 minutes earlier but the bus was already there. Exactly at 6:50 AM, the bus left on our way to our first destination, Vaduz.
Since the bus have to stop sometimes, it took us around 6 hours to reach Vaduz. Besides, there are still passengers that were picked-up in Kelheim and Frotmanning near Munich City. What is important was that we arrived safely to our destinations and we came back home safe too. (more…)

I am still quite tired from my trips lately. I just arrived last night and still did not recovered back my energy. I guess that was due to a lot of walking we did from that 5-day trip. Despite of that, I am still happy because I enjoyed the trip and I gained again a lot of travel experiences from that travel. I also met different people who have been telling and sharing me their stories, including the many places they visited worldwide. That trip was truly awesome and the places are all beautiful.
I guess, I have to start now about the main topic I wanted to share in this post. This is actually about travel gadgets and accessories. I have been traveling to many countries since 1997 and still counting to visit more. From these travels, I gained a lot of knowledge and experiences on how to make my travels happy and convenient . Sometimes we just neglect little things but these things sometimes help us in making our travels more convenient and safer. (more…)

Oh yes! I was in Oakland, California! Our good friend drove us there. The plan was actually to go to Milpitas in California to meet a compatriot. Our friend who works in one of the banks in Oakland dropped us somewhere there for a sightseeing while waiting for her to drive us to Fremont. Normally in Fremont, our compatriot will pick us up for a dinner together with my sister. We did a little sightseeing in Oakland including the Lake Merritt while waiting for her.
A Church in Oakland while I and my sister had a walk in Oakland, California last September 2012.
Finally after some hours of waiting for our friend, we drove to Fremont. On our way to Fremont, her boss called her that the training in Fremont will be cancelled. We decided to proceed to Berkeley on our way back to Oakland. We rode the BART from Oakland to Berkeley. Am I quite confusing? I hope not.
That was a fine day spending a relaxation at the University of Berkeley. How I wish I am studying in that part of California.
Here is a little information about Oakland. It is located in the U.S. state of California, a major West Coast port city and the busiest port for San Francisco Bay and all Northern California. It is the third largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area, the eighth-largest city in the state, and the 47th-largest city in the U.S. with a population of 390,724. wikipedia.

Three more nights and I will be out again for another travel. I mentioned last week that I will have a trip for 5-days in 3 countries soon. I am quite excited about it. Besides, I can’t wait to see my former classmate who currently work and live in Milan. For this trip, I ordered three new SD cards and aa nimh batteries for my cameras. I also remember to bring with me my netbook hoping that there will be an internet connection at the hotel. I will also bring two cellphones for emergencies. I will start to pack my luggage tonight to avoid stress when packing it on last minute.
I am happy to travel again! See you soon Italy, Lichtenstein and Switzerland!

It seems like yesterday when I had a vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. That was a great trip visiting the famous “Entertainment Capital of the World”. Above that, I am also happy to see my siblings again. One of the hotels we visited was Luxor Las Vegas. You will feel like you are in Luxor, Egypt when you visit this hotel due to its setting and architecture. That is where it got its name.
I am hoping to visit the real Luxor in Egypt in the future. I also wish to have an overnight in Luxor Las Vegas in my next visit..lolz! Here are photos from my last vacation.

Have you heard about Richard Wagner? If you do, you might be very familiar about the city of Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany. This city is also famous for its annual festival, the Bayreuth Festival, called in German as Bayreuther Festspiele, a world-famous show at which performances of operas by the 19th century German composer Richard Wagner are presented. I can’t imagine how famous musicians perform in their Opera House, the Bayreuth Festspielhaus. Some musicians here might be using in ear monitors when performing the show.
I have been to Bayreuth last summer 2009. I am trying to some some photos I took in this city but it seems that I have a hard time finding it. I will surely share some next time once I found the album which contain pictures during our sightseeing trip almost four years ago. I still want to visit the Bayreuth again to witness the world’s most famous opera show.
