We don’t have so much time during our visit in Cork. I guess we only had almost three hours sightseeing in this city. Not that much to see and experience many things in Cork but at least I was there to see some of its sights.

I already set the alarm at 7:00 that morning. After fixing myself and taking the breakfast in our hotel in Baveno, Italy, I had to make everything ready before the bus will take-off at 9:00 AM. Our next destination that day will be in Ascona. It tokk for our bus driver over an hour before we reach this town in Switzerland.
Our first stop was the Camille Park Garden in Ascona. I guess we were too early as we visited the park last March 2013. It is still early spring and the MOST camille plants are still not bearing flowers. There were a few that were flowering that time. After almost two hours of going around the park and a walk at the riverside located nearby, we proceeded to the town proper of Ascona.

That was quite a long trip from our hotel in Biograd na Moru to Budva, Montenegro. I just looked at google maps and found out that we traveled almost 450 kilometers or to be exact 458 km during that trip. We only had a short 1 hour stopover in Neum to take our lunch break. The condition of the road made that road trip more longer to travel. Unlike in many countries in western part of Europe like in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, etc., where autobahns or highways are more develop, it is faster to travel by car of bus during a road trip.
Considering the many stops and breaks we did along the way to Budva, we arrived at our hotel there at around 8:30 PM. One of the stops we had was a 2-hour sightseeing in Dubrovnik. The passport controls in the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro also took so long that time.

I did not expected that I can stepped on the land of Bosnia and Herzegovina during that trip. I considered it as the 5th country I visited during that 9-day trip in Southeast Europe, along with Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Slovenia. (more…)

Winter is finally over and I am saying hello to spring season! This is one of my favorite seasons of the year. The time when the weather gets better and friendlier. It is also the time to slowly get rid of extra pounds gained during cold winter season. This is also the time to go out and walk around. This also means that I need to slowly find for a pair of good outdoor shoes. I actually find Lowa boots which I believe are good for outdoor activities like walking and running. I am planning to go walking everyday even only for an hour or two. Walking is good for our health and I also hope get rid of my extra weight by doing some outdoor activities like walking or jogging.
I believed that our visit to Kotor is one of the highlights of our trip in Montenegro. This country is located in Southeast Europe and its name means “Black Mountain”. No wonder the contrast and beauty of this country invites tourists from around the world.
I felt like seeing the fjords of Norway when I see the beauty of this place. It is truly an amazing wonder of nature seeing sights like this. I have a lot to share about our trip in this country. Sit back and relax and wait for my next sharing of my travel experiences in Montenegro..soon!

Yes, I finally booked another cruise trip to Scandinavia. When I arrived from a week trip from Ireland, my friend Jean sent me a message in facebook that she wanted to go with me to that trip. I was so happy when she decided to travel with me. It will be a 5-days trip and we will be visiting Oslo, Norway and Copenhagen in Denmark. These are some of the Scandinavian countries I always wanted to visit. Finally in less than a month, I an my friend will be visiting it.
I already booked a cruise trip to Scandinavia last year in November but Oslo and Copenhagen are not included during that trip. Hensinki, Stockholm, Tallinn and St. Petersburg are the ones included in that trip this coming summer season. I can’t wait to see these Scandinavian and Baltic cities this year. (more…)
