Throwback Thursday Travel in Dubrovnik, Croatia
Hello September! I hope your first week of the month is starting great. I believed, I do and I am grateful about it! I just remember that today is Thursday. I am thinking of posting photographs here from my previous travels. This means that there will be throwback Thursday photo(s) during this day of the week.
View of Dubrovnik, Croatia from the Franjo Tuđman Bridge. It is called in Croatian as Most dr. Franje Tuđmana. It is a cable-stayed bridge carrying the D8 state road at the western approach to Dubrovnik, Croatia across Rijeka Dubrovačka near Port of Gruž.
This image taken in Dubrovnik will by my first entry for Throwback Thursday. It was taken during my holiday in the Balkans or Southeast Europe last spring 2013. I visited 5 countries during that holiday.
Dubrovnik is an interesting city. It is is a stunningly intact walled city on the Adriatic Sea coast of the extreme south of Croatia. I am thankful that one of the places in my bucketlist is finally scratched. If I have the chance to visit it again, I would surely love to.
“Dubrovnik is steeped in stunning architecture and sculptural detail, and boasts spectacular churches, monasteries, museums, and fountains. A multitude of typical towns and excursions include: The Elaphiti Islands, the attractive town of Cavtat, the Konavle valley, Mljet Island, Korčula Island, Ston and Peljesac Peninsula.”
I am slowly off to bed now. Tomorrow is another day at the fun place (workplace). Goodnight Europe and wish everyone a wonderful month of October.
