The Roman Bridge in Cordoba, Spain

Let’s go travel and see the world again! For sure, I will never forget my visit to Cordoba lately. First and foremost, I have a classmate in college whose family name is Cordoba. I also worked with him for some years in one of the top 3 banks in my home country. Second, I am deeply in-love with all the things I saw and experienced in Spain. There is just something in this country that truly mesmerized and amazed me. It might be or probably because the Spaniards had stayed and influenced Philippines for almost 400 years? I have to review my Philippine history for this. It seems that I feel like at home when I stepped on Spanish land especially in the region of Andalusia.

One of the cities we visited during our Spain trip was Cordoba. It is a city in Andalusia, southern Spain, and the capital of the province of Córdoba. An Iberian and Roman city in ancient times, in the Middle Ages it became the capital of an Islamic caliphate.

One of the sights we visited is the Roman bridge. Visiting Cordoba for a day to experience everything is not enough. It simply means that I might visit this city again in the future.

Please be informed that the Historic Center of Cordoba belongs to the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is such a lovely city.

I am happy to see and to visit this city last December 7, 2011.

A Roman-style bridge over the shallow Guadalquivir River that was once the main crossing over the river, securing Cordoba’s importance to the region.
